Michelle Peterson-Albandoz has been the owner and principle artist of Las Manos Gallery in Chicago for the past ten years. After studying painting and sculpture at Escuela de Artes Plasticas in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Arco in Lisbon, Portugal, and the University of Nebraska, Michelle received her B.F.A. from the Art Institute of Chicago. An accomplished painter and mixed media artist, Michelle is well known for her reverse paintings on glass and her work has been collected by hundreds of art enthusiasts from around the world.
She is currently working on a continuation of the "Wounded Earth Series", large wall mounted assemblies of recycled wood -- chunky and elegant.
